A specially trained service dog would be more than a companion—it would be a lifeline. With a mobility dog by my side, I’d have the physical stability to move safely through the world, whether that’s walking in my neighborhood, running errands, or enjoying the outdoors. The dog would be trained to assist with tasks like grounding for balance support, retrieving dropped items, and helping me conserve energy throughout my day so I can continue to participate in my work and activities that I love. It’s not just about convenience—it’s about preserving my freedom, confidence, and dignity.
What I hope to accomplish with a mobility service dog is simple but powerful: I want to live fully, safely, and independently. I want to keep moving forward with my goals, to keep being active and engaged in my community, and to do it with the support I need to manage my MS.
Service dogs require extensive training and resources, and they come at a significant cost. That’s where I’m asking for your help. Your donation isn’t just helping me get a dog—it’s helping me reclaim parts of my life that MS has tried to take away.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading my story and considering a contribution. Every gift, big or small, brings me one step closer to walking forward—steadily, securely, and with hope.
With gratitude,
Kelly
My name is Kelly, and I’m a young person living with multiple sclerosis (MS)—a diagnosis that has reshaped my life in ways I never imagined. MS affects my strength, balance, and coordination, making everyday movement unpredictable and sometimes overwhelming. But I’m not ready to give up on the active, independent life I’ve always loved.
That’s why I’m working toward getting a mobility support dog.
